Wouter, cheers mate.
Tony, gotta say the Legend Stowage sets are pretty good, I reckon I have enough stowage left over for another couple of kits.
Chris, thanks mate, getting there, slow part now waiting for oils to dry.
cheers

Rossco, nice looking Sherman and heavily packed too, love it ! I look forward to the weathering process, it will look even better once it has received a flat coat.

Armourguy, thanks mate. Tony, yep with Legend kits there is a fair bit of extra. Well I've slowly been doing a bit of weathering to both the Sherman and the base. And one with the Sherman on the base, just to get an idea of things to come The base still needs a matt coat to dull the shininess. Any comments and advice greatfully received. cheers Rossco

Very nice dio and the progress so far looks good. The weathering, especially the streaking in the Sherman are fantastic.. Still too much sheen on the stowage, but I am sure your aware of that

Chris67, thanks mate, all that is coming, just getting the basic colours down on the base at the moment. Started on a tree for it the other day but I misjudged how many leaves I will need , 224 added already and I found out I need some more so another 2 sets ordered. Rob, cheers mate, yep working on the stowage again and the running gear. Some parts are a little to clean and shiny at the moment. Wouter, I think if I hadn't added that bit of extra to the base it would've been to small, certainly wouldn't have been able to set it up the way I want it. Started to clean up some of the figures to be used yesterday, still waiting on the crew though , hopefully they should turn up sometime soon. cheers Rossco

Another update. Started to add some details to the base. A couple of questions and some opinions sought but will save them until after the pictures. Okay questions first. 1. Any suggestions to improve the look of the Ivy? 2. Anybody have any idea about how to damage the piece of guttering that is on the ground. If I use flame heat all I will end up with is melted plastic and I don't think hot water will work. Opinions now , considering the piles of debris are just added to get an idea, so painting etc still needs to happen. Do they look ok in the present positions? Lots of little details still to be added but it's starting to look like the picture in my head ;D. cheers Rossco

Maybe slightly gentle bends back and forth for the ivy, just to give it more natural movement? Just a thought This is gonna be really cool. I'll be watching with admiration.

Hi Ross,I have to agree with Nate,re the Ivy....and a couple of things I'd noticed, one of which you may well have planned. How did the Shermy get there?(ie track marks on the base)Also, why would the downpipe for the gutter, drain out by the door,as it appears to be?

Rob, sorry to remind you mate.
Nate, I have fleshed out the ivy a little today, will get some pictures up tomorrow when I have some light.
Armorguy, thanks mate.
Chris, there are track marks moulded into the base which you can just see under the dirt etc. The downpipe is a MiniArt goof, thats where they show it and I used all the pipes provided but your right it would look better lower down.
cheers Rossco

ChrisB, they are a bit hard to see , looking at the naked base again it seems to show a harder type of ground in some spots. Added some bulk to the Ivy vines, looks a lot better now I think. Let me know what you think please? cheers Rossco

Time for an update. Added the Sherman to the base, started to lay down some debris around the house and started on the first lot of figures. Still heaps to do all around but it's slowly getting there, I'm still waiting on my Sherman crew as well, hopefully they will turn up soon. cheers Rossco

Sorry for the slackness here guys. Rob, hopefully things are starting to come together. jackwagon, cheers mate. Chris S, thanks mate, my Sherman crew finally arrived so some more figures to be painted. Well in between my wingy builds I've slowly been adding some touches to the base, finally finished the tree that has been taking up most of my time. For those that are interested there are 905 leaves on the tree. Just hope it looks like a tree. Added some fire damage to the roof support beams. Some rubble dust added to the rubble, needs some more I think. Any comments welcome. cheers Rossco
