Hello all. Just started on this kit last night. So far no problems, all parts fit like a glove. By maxmekker at 2012-06-08 Thought about ordering some PE parts , but I will see. If so, where should I order from ? , Would like to know were you folk's pick up you're after m parts from. Also, I would like to know how you go about munting the track's on the wheels , so they can be removed as one unit for painting and so ? Liek ClayK do in this tread. modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=armor&action=display&thread=251 Thanks

i would paint all the wheels sperate from the tracks. what i did with my 1/48 jagedtiger is let them on the sprue and paint them there then when you have all the wheels painted attach the tracks. are the tracks link and length ?? oh and www.luckymodel.com/ is a good place for after market stuff as is ebay

scratchmod: yep. I'm going for a JP in 1/16 soon, so It's a practise before that one.
Spud: Hehe, I allready did the wheels , and the parts for the lower hull. So I might do as I did with my KT 1/48 build. Paint the tracks on the sprue, and cover the glue marks with Mig powder :-)
More pic's later.
(thanks for the link )

Fast build. Nothing out of the ordinary here guy's. Maybe next time I'll go for some PE :-) Still not sure how I want to fix the traks to the wheels yet. It was a fast build yeas. As I said, no special for this one, I'm just getting into MB again so I don't have any PE tools ore experience with PE ore where to buy from just yet, so It's an 'out of the box' build . Those who wil see this(fam and friend's) don't have a clue as to how much stuff you can add on a model like this, so I general they think it looks great anyhow. :-)
But the engine deck and handels lack some detail, that I could have fixed, but, next time. :-)
The MHull is a nice feature I think , I have the KT 1/48 here at work place, and when some one pick it up, it feels good to have some weight, but with working torsion, it would have been even better.
Bumped up the front fenders and added some mr Surfacer and primed it all last night. Going to let it dry good (and make a start on the 1/35 elefant vintage kit I got) and deside then. But Im more than open for sugestions.
Thanks for looking

Like Bill said, nice clean build. Amazing how far the 1/4 scale model have come over the years. Often it's hard to tell if it's quarter or 1/35. Looking forward to the painting.

Thanks man. For out of box build I think it will look nice. As I said before, some details could be added, and some PE would bring it up a notch ore 2, but that I will save for another day :-)
No camo idea yeat, open for ideas.

Got some paint on the darn thing today. It might just end up as a prototyp JP. Trying to get the hang of some C modulation. Both salt and AK WE 'serum' on the wheels. Thanks for the comments guy's.I need it :-)
I think this will end up as a dirty yellow cat. I did the wheels and belts the other day, but then I had a look in the gallery section, and also read jhont and ricklawler Tractor + Engine + Stalinez S-65 build, and got the same feeling I get after I have been on a hi-fi session at my cousin's house, my system sounds like toilet paper after that. So it has been on the shelf the last day's. I think I will have to man my self up and call Per Olav Lund and make him take me to the next level :-) Just found out he lives just near by .

Hey Sollie, Looking really good dude - I want to try some of that AK stuff for chipping as I think it will be generally more forgiving than hairspray? Lovely looking build anyway. I do like the JP and have the 1/35 Tamiya version. I went to town on that one and fitted Friuls, RB Barrel and bought the PE set for the engine deck. Tamiy's 1/48 stuff is getting really good. Their KV-1 in 1/48 looks superb and is tempting, as is their Jagdtiger too. Good luck, this could be something special imo Take care, Ben

Hi Sollie, nice JP mate! That chipping looks good, seems a shame to cover it with camo now. I would just get some of that AK effects on her, should be pretty sweet!
Cheers JT
