I usually seal the decals after their dry with a coat of future only on the decal area. Didnt know if you were gonna do that. Yeah John, i tend to get on a good modeling run after a hardy mid day nap! ;D ;D Later John, Gary

Thanks Gary, yeah, its kind of a pin wash combination over all wash. After application. A damp brush was used to remove moat of the wash in the flat areas. This helped give it a filter effect.

Thanks T!!! Applied the flat coat today. This is probably as far as I’m going to get for the next couple of weeks. I go on vacation next week and I’ll be getting stuff ready later this week. My children show livestock at the county fair for 4 H. We will be camped at the fair grounds all week taking care of livestock. I’ll have my iphone to keep up to date on the forum as long as I can get a good signal.

One final update before I go on vacation. I applied a filter from Mig’s 502 Abteilung German Three Tone Fading and 502 Abt. Odorless Turpentine. There’s some cool streaking starting to apear. Just another layer in the weathering prcess. Once I get my layers built up, I will touch up any pin washes that got obscured.

Hey Brother John, I can definately tell the difference. I like the color and the streaks that resulted look very authentic. Very cool! Well done John. Gary

If you took it with you and worked on it I bet you would get more attention than the baby goats do. Tony

Thanks guys,
Yeah, I bet your right Tony.
Mike, the streaking was achieved by dragging the wash and filter colors down the sides with a soft brush.
