Hi Gary, I really like how you painted the stug, I like the shading round the panel lines and edges. Maybe if the tool box was more dusty and chipped it might look better? Either way, it's all looking great.
Cheers JT

I read somewhere you should aim to have three or four colour points to make a model 'eye-catching' these can be contrasted paint colours, decals or whatever but they should be positioned to 'force' the viewer to take in the whole thing even unintentionally as the eye will automatically jump between them - of course that may be complete doodahs but it sounded really good when I read it - in other words I like the toolbox Makes perfect sence to me Dicky!! Red makes more sence thatn ever now. So its settled....RED it is!!! Thanks man, Gary

Hey Andy, Theres actually 2 figs in the box...one is the Alpine fig you see on the front, the other is one i got from my nephew (DieselRocket) of a crewman sitting with his boot off rubbing his foot aswell as a bicycle. Ill figureout how im gonna incorperate all that together later. ;D Thanks Andy, Gary

Details and decals are looking good Gary! I think you're fine with the red toolbox if it's going in the back on the engine deck along with the rest of the stuff. Once weathered and stowed it will add just the right bit of visual interest in that area. Keep up the nice work on this one!

Hello fellas, Played around with the stowage some not sure if this will be the final position but i do like it ok as is. Got to paitn the buff colored tarp roll and weather and chip the stowage a bit. Broke the da*n Handle on the tool box and lost it in the carpet no mans land. Ill scratch one up to replace. Set the figures out so you fellas can get a sence of the guy rubbing his sore feet. ;D DSCF2822 by BBD468, on Flickr DSCF2823 by BBD468, on Flickr DSCF2824 by BBD468, on Flickr Thanks for looking fellas! Hiya Gary, Been catching up on your thread, must say she looks MIGHTY nice On the toolbox, I'd leave it red but tone it down with the weathering you mention, I'm sure that not everything thrown onto the back of a wartime AFV was standard issue

Nice work Gary, lovely painted stowage. And the tool box gives some nice variation. As mentioned with some weathering it should tone down and will make a nice addition to the StuG, really love this baby!
Cheers

Thanks for the kind comments fellas!!! Andy, the foot rubbing figure is from a Warriors figure set of three. My nephew give me the fig. Flat clear apllied! I will mess with the stowage and the like while that dries. Then its Oil fading time! DSCF2825 by BBD468, on Flickr DSCF2826 by BBD468, on Flickr Thanks Guys. Gary

Hello ANDY!!! Yeah, i like that part too. Starts to look like a tank instead of a toy. ;D I forgot to paint the inner side of the hatch, so i did that and applied a raw umber filter. I also Got the bicycle together. Ill start Oil fadeing tomorrow. What is you fellas opinion on a color for the bike? I have only saw them in Dark Yellow, Field Green, Grey, and Black. Not sure which i want yet...im all ears!!! ;D DSCF2827 by BBD468, on Flickr DSCF2828 by BBD468, on Flickr Thanks Fellas! Gary
