Thank ya gentlemen!!! John, that is a nice video. I think its all comin' together now and i know what i want to do. I built a fence from Bass wood, srayed two colors of grey and then lightly sanded them. I sealed the base and have some foam cut to fit one side. Once its glued and dried ill shave some heigth off it. I also popped off the barbed wire from the Stug and made a rope to replace it. The wire just bugged the crap out of me. Rope looks cool Gary, but that fence is awesome. This is gonna be a gem when done. Makes me want to finish off my queens and do some base work. Got to make a fence one of these days.

Hey Gentlemen, I have a favor to ask you fellas. By vote and color suggestions, should i paint the fence a color or leave it weathered? And if colored what color do you all suggest? Just thinking it may be too much grey tones on the dio. Thanks fellas! Gary

Well, let's see...Most all fences I've ever seen are either natural wood or painted white. Of course, that's here in the States but it could be so elsewhere also. My instict would be to give it an unmaintained white look, ya know dirty and with peeling/missing paint, bare weathered wood showing and all.
Great job on the figures, I'll have to watch that vid myself since I am so-so on painting.
Regards, Mark

Hey Gary!! Figs look super! Thinking what you are seeing differeent in the boots on the standing dude is they appear a bit less detailed than Mr. Crouch Man!! But going black and maybe dry brush back with a leathery brown might do the trick!! (IMHO) As for the fence, I would lean toward the weathered back paintined white look... PM Sent....

Thanks fellas!!! You are all too kind. I have the base covered in dirt over cellu-clay and white glue mix. I put some track marks useing a Pz.I , a cargo truck and the Stug. Ill let it dry a day or 2. Its a bit cold and wet here so it may take a while to dry proper. In the mean time......um......well, ill figure something out. ;D Thanks fellas! Gary

Gary Just tripped over this one and I must say I am glad I did. I actually built that exact same kit for a GB on another site. Goes together nice and easy, doesn't it? You made yours look pretty sharp, particularly with all the stowage.
I'm loving the base too. I echo the idea that it would look superb with a beat all to hell white-wash on it.
Looking forward to the next round of pictures and updates!

Thanks again fellas! this has been a fun build so far and i hope to have it ready for the MoM before the deadline. Im definately gonna go with a weathered white wash on the fence. Wish me luck as ive not done this before. I did have a good friend give me some great tips on how to pull it off. Wish me luck! You're really 'making tracks' now Gary! AH Bill, LOL - well played sir! Thanks buddy. ;D Gary

Great base, so far. I'll ask you too, how did you make those great track marks?
I'm trying to figure out a method that doesn't involve spare tracks, as I don't have any...

Great base, so far. I'll ask you too, how did you make those great track marks? I'm trying to figure out a method that doesn't involve spare tracks, as I don't have any... Hello Luigi, After i layed down the cellu-clay and dirt, i let the dirt soak into the cellu-clay for a few minutes then i got my Pz.I and A Studebaker Cargo truck as well as the StuG and pressed the tracks down into the base, . And Vola!!! Gary

And no dirt remained on the tracks? Hi Luigi, Only a small bit of dust from the dirt may have got on the tracks but it wipes off easily. Thanks fellas, i appreciate it! Gary
