Thanks chaps, here is today's progress. Pigments have been added and I applied them more heavily to the bottom half of the model. I have tried to keep it subtle so as not to loose all the details previously added.









The wheels etc are now fixed in place too. I can now set this aside and work on the base and figures. I will add some final weathering once on the base.

Definitely captured the dirty/dusty feel of a desert vehicle! Very nice work and shows off this ugly/brute of a design perfectly. Looking forward to seeing it with the figs and base.

After a distinct lack of progress recently I have managed to get a good portion of the figure painting done over the last couple of days. I am using vallejo panzer aces colours which I really like. They are almost done apart from the flesh areas and the insignia etc.













I'm no figure painter but they should do the trick!

Cheers fellas I am quite pleased with the figures. I think I am getting the knack of painting them solely with acrylics. I have now finished them and have started to sort out placement on the base as well as paint some fuel cans and a couple of other items. The base will be quite simple with just some barbed wire in one corner.











I think the figures really suit the 254 and set it off a treat! just as I envisaged when I started the build (which is nice!) So it's onto the ground work next!

Thanks guys, well I have now actually finished the dio and added all the elements, the base had some small stones, grit and fine sand added then I sprayed it with a desert colour then attacked it with pigments after picking out a few stones in different colours.



And here is the end result,
