Hello Gentlemen, While the gloss cures on the Spitfire - i couldnt resist building armor any longer - the withdrawals symptoms were overcoming me!!! So, i started the Tamiya type 97 late production medium tank. The kit and Fruils belong to my nephew and im building it for his collection. So far the fit is nice as usual but im suprised at the amount of cleaning and sanding of mold line seams...THIER HUGE!!! The suspension springs were especially hard to clean and try and not ruin them at the same time. I Considered scratching some but with some extra care im satisfied with them. Anyways, heres where im at now. Thanks for lookin' fellas! Gary

One of Mr T's older offerings but can still be built up nicely in the right hands! Looking forward to seeing what you do with this one Gary, nice start!

LOL, I knew you couldn't stay away from armor Great start, Jap armor is an uncommon subject and that makes it even more interesting. Given they were used in jungles and very humid climates, I'm looking forward to seeing how you're going to weather it

Very nice start - and yes, this "old" kit is definitely in the right hands. Now the question is, shall I display it next to my most excellent Stuh that Gary built for my collection, next to my most awesome Ferdinand Gary whipped up for my display, or... well, I'm a lucky man, I could just keep going and going - always awesome to see boxes going from my stash to his hands to my curio - lucky, LUCKY!

Nice progress Gary. Are the suspension workable or that wheel has that uncommon position?

Moving right along Gary. The 'hu-chi mama' wouldn't have anything to do with the Nyquil dosing cap you're using as a prop stand would it? ;D

I should dust mine off one of these days and finish it. They might be old but they're still nice little kits. Can't wait to see how you paint one of these Gary Tony

Hello Gentlemen, Thanks so much for the kind words fellas! Thanks brother John! Thanks for stoppin' by nephew! Luigi, they arent really 'workable' i just hadnt glued them. But on the middle 4 wheels can be made to conform to some minor lumps or the like on a dio. Bill, i cannot confirm or deny the presence of cough medicine in my blood stream. ;D ;D Tobias, my mouth is salivating to build a Tiger though! Dicky, this is a fun old dog, but ive managed to teach it a couple new tricks! ;D ;D WN, ER, Andy - thanks a bunch guys! Im glad to have you along for the ride. Tony, Dust her off and get too it buddy!!!Paint......ummm.....Havent figured that out myself yet . Guess i better as paint will be comin' by weekend. Been away from the bench 2 - 3 days but got at it last night. Should be building fruils here shortly. Thanks for lookin my friends! Gary
