Sorry about that last post, dont know how that one got on here as it was meant for another post.Must have had a drink that night.LOL John this is looking superb. You allways know a good build when it looks too good to paint then looks great in primer and after you finish with it i will get me coat. I use the dremel tool for cast effects but i let it rest in my hand and let the tool bounce on the surface. Funny how people have their own little differences.Excellent stuff mate.

Hi folks, thanks very much for your feedback! Hi Dicky, the primer really was white but I made the photos kind of dark and sinister, so it looked grey Hi Bill, the scheme is coming up in the next photos. Some paint is on the Tiger now, here's some progress shots. I tried to show it all in pictures, step by step. I mixed a primer red from Tamiya paints: Some post shading and a coat of lacquer. I mixed a dust colour from red, yellow, black and white; Hmm I think next time I will just use Buff, the colour is the same. So you can see on the turret, this is the look I'm working on, worn paint and a worn layer of heavy dust. Virtually the same processes as I used on the Mark IV. That's where I'm at, thanks for following! Cheers JT

The last pic shows the contrast between the 'fresh' and the 'dirty' paint schemes, very nice!

For some reason I thought I could mix a colour more like dust than Tamiya buff. Well I mixed it up and put it next to it -hmmm-ah well Cheers JT

Hi guys Sorry to be so slack posting updates here. The next rounds on me! This project has been moving pretty slowly; lots of little problems along the way have been frustrating, but it's getting there. Here the hull and turret had recieved the hairspray technique dust: I added some dark rust oil paint round the edges using a foam sponge: Then some washes and streaks using more oils, and the road wheels recieved pigments. Now the tracks are on it's looking pretty heavy! The turret needs more work but the hull has received some of Adam Wilders 'speckling', pigments and all that good stuff tank modelers love More work to do yet but that's it so far. The hairspray technique dust thing is pretty experimental so feel free to be critical; I've already criticised myself quite harshly Cheers JT

I think it looks cool JT...the KT is one of my two modelling loves and you are doing a great job mate!!!! I especially love the way the tow cables hang realisticly, and the mud/speckling tech worked out superb. One to be proud of so far, looking forward to next steps...and please don't forget to update here as well next time ey Cheers

Nice koenig, JT. I've been following the build here and on FB, and each instalment is a great show of mastership May I ask how does the HS dust technique work?

Wow, great work man. As Wouter said, love the tow cables hang. Are they glued to the side ore di they stay in the shape after you bend them in place ?
the dusty loock is spot on.
