Thanks Gary. Ok ive sprayed the AK colors darker to lights from Right to left with the 2 shades of graugrun to see how it looks the greener green is opt2 of the gray green. the Far left color is the Tamiya mix of 1:1 of XF60 and XF58 which looks noting like it is on the image on the side of the box.... also the AK colors are way too watery once they hit the primer they kinda go beady like the surface is oily and i put my badger mixer into them to make sure they were mixed. so now im confused as to what colors im going to be painting it. oh on s side not the turret is complete

well, to be honest, I'm not a fan of the AK paints as well, though their other stuff is great!
I like the darker yellowish paint on the left of the piece...should look great with the light green which you used in the middle of the piece of scrap. Think they should go well together (hope it makes a bit sense?)
Cheers

Colour choice looks spot on to me Spud , especially when you've added the green and weathered it up. They say to lighten the base colours more as the scale gets smaller, stops them looking too dark at the end

ok there wont be any camo on the beast. i tried the AK opt2 green in the Dak colors and its s***, Color separates way too quick in the cup and it is also way too thin to be of any use. i think ill drop Ian a mail and see what he says about it.
ive added a thin Dak filter over it and am starting the detail painting and pin wash today. hopefully ill have pics later for you.

Well the dunkel looks spot on ..........did you end up using the Tamiya XF 60 ? I've never tried the AK paints so i have no experience about how to solve the problem .

thanks Guys. Wouts Ina at AK is Sending me a new Set and i hope there ok i may use that on my next Tiggy well, that's the great service of AK! Ian Hamilton and Carlos Cuesta sent me a new panzer grey modulation set for free when I had my troubles. Although I must admit I still didn't like those paints...it's not the same as Vallejo Model Air for instance. So in the end I didn't use them. Hope the new set works out for you though Cheers
