Nice lookin' kitty Dan, and those figures will suit her well! Nice to see some primer comin' on ^^. What paintscheme are you having in mind, or is it a secret? Maybe I can steal some ideas for my NP ey, 'cause I'm totally stuck on her paintwise Cheers

Primer means paint isn't far off, looking forward to the "secret" scheme when it's revealed! Nice work on the figure details as well.

I have managed to get the basecoat on the Jadcat i have decided to go with a oxide primer german yellow camo pattern once this was dry i made some filter coats with oils thinned with enamel thinners as it dried it went powdery this has happened once before with white spirit does anyone know why? i have binned my oils as i think they are the problem!!!! So to get over the whiteness i brushed off as much as i could with a dry flat brush then i used Vallejo german dark brown heavily diluted with tap water and applied this all over it brought it back a bit but i will see as i seal it with clear fingers crossed Dan B

Dan,
The secret scheme is revealed! Looks good so far despite the mishap with the oils. Sounds like something reacted with the pigments to cause them to clump up and turn powdery within the carrier...but no idea what would do that. Glad you were able to recover though!

Hi Dan, nice camo! No sign of your filter mishap, perhaps it was the oils as you said. Nice work so far!
Cheers JT

Hers a few pics of the Jadcat with its decals on and a few coats of gloss ready for some streaking AK style the gloss has taken nearly all of the white marks from the oxide primer and has made the colours richer i have been lucky with this one next time i will make the oxide and yellow colour brighter to compensate for the clear coat . Last night i was searching for some inspiration for a base and came across some of Per olav Lunds work of some Berlin street defences so i thought i would have a go (mine are nowhere as good as his but i like them) these barricades will go on a small base as a home for the Jadcat i have used plasticard strips for the I beams and balsa wood strips for the wooden beams behind these defences will be dirt and rubble and a few bits of scrap here and there. Size comparison with Fritz leaning up against the barricades now with the JS2. Fritz wanted a pic of himself with the JS2 hes such a poser!!! Dan B

Nice, Dan! Decals look good and the color tones are lovely. I love the barricades. It'll give you the opportunity to mess around with lots of colors/weathering options. That Fritz is one frisky devil!

Sounds like a neat idea for the base, the JP ought to be right at home with that barricade.
