Hi all another small update on how things are going the house is weathered and theres just a few bits to finish on the wall while the washes and such like were drying i made a start on the muddy base i used cheap ready mixed fix and grout to change the colour i added black and brown acrylics then kitty litter tea leaves and Hornby gravel this was then spread in random thicknesses around the base once this had set for a bit i gently pressed some spare track into the mixture to get some tread marks.

Then i sat for a while trying to figure out what to put behind the wall as to fill a wasted space so i came up with an idea of a log pile and tarpulin for the tarpulin i used a kleenex tissue soaked in a pva water mix this was then layed over the logs and a cutting block and axe was made next hope you all like the progress so far.

Just one question:

how did you do those great mud tracks? Did you use a spare set of tracks or is there another trick to prevent sticking?

Hey luigi I used a spare length of track then wait for the mix 2 dry for a bit then wet the tracks and push into the mud gently it might take a few goes to get it right.
