Thanks for the kind words guys! I was kind of happy with the way it turned out.
Tojo...their 1/48 stuff builds just as easily as the 1/35. While I might fault Tamiya for a few things, fit is definitely not one of them.

Thanks Wbill. It is definitely a beast. Even in quarter scale, it's still bigger than some of the 1/35 tanks that I've done. Yeah, them's the rules....three 1/4 scalers = 2 x 1/35's so yer actually behind on the deal...... JT looks spiffing AFVF Aw man, Dicky. At those exchange rates I guess I'd better stay away from the braille scale stuff, or I'll never catch up!

I had a lot of fun building it, other than making those track hooks. Models always seem to come out better if they don't irritate you in the assembly process. I wanted to give it a weathered, but not too beat up, look. After all, some of these only saw combat in the last weeks of the war.
Andy, I do believe you're right about the size. With that cast metal hull, it sure weighs more than most 1/35th stuff.

Un-thinned fenders? Looking at the rest of it I did not even notice 'till you pointed it out. A very nice job overall here
