Evening chaps quick photo update on the mkIV

I have decided to paint 1 side in a khaki brown green colour to break up the sheer amount of orangey bare steel i left a small amount of the steel showing to suggest a started paint job!



After a coat of Humbrol satin cote artists oils were used to add pinwashes around rivets and to shade certain areas.



The bare steel was then given the same treatment.







Certain areas were given a coat of white to break up the panels this was then chipped using the HS technique.

Heres a small update on what has been happening with the MK IV the tracks have been re painted as i was not 100% happy with there look several washes and pin washes have been achieved using oils i think it is now ready for some weathering

Im still working on the sponsons at the moment the kit guns are poo and are pondering on scratching some new sponsons with the panzer shop resin guns if anyone can see any areas i could improve on please share your thoughts

Hi Dan, looking good mate!

You mentioned scratching the sponsons, I just wanted to mention the kit sponsons are actually the wrong shape. I didn't worry about it when I built mine, I couldn't be bothered fixing them up, but if you're making new ones I thought I'd let you know.

It's the back wall with the doorway, if you look down on them, the kit ones are at 90 deg. to the hull side. They should be more like 70 or 80 degrees.

Anyway I thought I'd mention it, but it's looking real sweet so far!
