now that the M113 is all done i have been working on the stryker doing the pin washes that was a lot of work after doing so i went ahead and made some straps out of tape for the tools and the water and gas tanks after the fact (thanks dicky for the tip on the tape) i have a few questions i have the tow bar on the other side do the strap that down also or is it bolted in place as far as chipping what color should i be using i know a bit lighter of the base color on small stuff but for deeper would nato black work or something in the gray range?

About your earlier question.... to all modelers US equipment, especially modern does not chip except for some special cases (Desert Storm quick paint jobs for one). The Stryker is a composite armor vehicle. It will not chip. It will scratch. The scratches show up like a grey line on the green. Most of the upper flat surfaces are a non skid surface. Neither Trumpeter or AFV incorporate a non skid into their various Strykers. You are a bit along to look at non skid soooooo...... I would stick to a grey wash and streaks on the side. IMO
