up next for the paint dept is the old but fun to build tam M113 and the that was a lot of plastic AFV club M1134 ATGM

hey nemo no issues with the afv club kit just a bunch of stuff to put on it it had all kinds of great details from inside hatch stuff the the drive line dept the only thing i dont like about the kit is the rubber wheels the dont have the loaded sag to the like the blast ones do but other than that it was a great build everything fits great mine has been built for months now almost a year not sure what color iam going to do i liked your last one but i might do a what if three tone nato or all white nato.or just stick the the US dark green not sure yet i have to stare at it for a bit

thanks guys nemo ill have to dig around to see if their are any white nato strykers deployed or have been was going to do the M113 in white but going to do a early german version before they upgraded them got the first step done this am with the good old tam flip can primer

got the pre shading done last weekend and this weekend got the base coat put on the M113 wanted to do the ATGM but it looks like its going to rain and its kind of sticky hear today so ill wait
i used XF-62 then added some XF-57 to give a bit faded look it came out a bit grainy but a brush and water took care of that think i was too high on my psi
the ATGM is up next not sure what green to use i was thinking nato green from tam or us dark green from vallejo model air any thoughts

The preshade looks great man as well as the base coat on the 113. Bro, on the modern stuff i dont have a clue whats an exact color to start. My defualt Green color is always Tamiya Nato Green, but you already knew that!! ;D Looking good bro...keep it coming man!

thanks for all the comments everyone i have been bogged down at work doing 6 days a week leaves no time to do much of anything these days i should have some nato green put down on the ATGM on sunday my next day off after the honey to do list is done

base coat is done on the ATGM did nato green with some buff added with it at the last coat and spotted on
and went back to the M113 and got some nato black on the rubber side skirts

der decals are on the M113 along with the future gloss coat second time using the ab with it still grainy not sure what iam doing wrong too high of air pressure 10 not sure think ill go back to hand brushing it on i used the german markings for a bit of a change one side is a bit higher than the other first time i use micro sol on the decals that stuff works nice got some slivering on the numbers due to the gloss not being smooth pin and more micro sol will fix that

got the gloss and the decals on the stryker today i still need to pick out some small stuff to paint like the orange side markers and some other things.pin washes start in the am for the M113 and this one ;D

Craig, the NATO Green is spot on, real nice finish and you have just helped me no end with what colour to paint my PA Buffalo. Can't tell from the pictures, but how did the per-shading come out on the Stryker?, thanks for sharing.

to the pe can straps that came with the kit ill have to get the old wine foil out my pe skills are lacking but with any they will get better with time

thanks chris the pre shade came out ok some spots better than others but as far a primer showing i was happy with that lots of stuff on this one
i did add few drops of buff to the nato green and did the center and top edges a bit lighter

well did some streaking with some ak stuff to just the front sides and back going to get the oils out in a bit to work the top and the sides again did really have not been able to sit down and focus on any thing

thanks for the comments guys round one of the weathering is done use oil dot fading and streaking on the bucket now i have to sit down and look at it for a bit as far as how dirty it will be
