Thanks Spudders, proof that Airfix really have upped their game. No fit issues, clear instructions, good detail, highly recommended.

Chaps. Spudders, I think you'll wait a long time for Airfix to go all 1/35 for ya, the scale is already well supported. 1/48 on the other hand is still lagging behind, I hope Airfix remain loyal to the scale for more Armour subjects. Gary, thanks mate, it was real fun to build ;D Ok, not a whole lot to report, primed and painted in a mix of Tamiya Desert Yellow and Buff. Excuse my feeble airbrushing abilities... Try to tackle the detail painting over the next few days...

Thanks Dicky, yes a totally different shade although I'm far from convinced I've got it close enough. I will run with it though and hope it comes out ok!

Prof, this looks way cool. great crisp detail for 1/48. now all they have to do is scale up to 1/35.

Hello all. Appreciate your kind words.
Small delay while the resin wheels travel from France to the UK, then I'll be back on the case...

Whats up with the wheels that caused the shift to resin?

Completely wrong tread pattern Spudders, have to be corrected!

ah well now something like that wouldn't bother me because on the field im sure they have to use what ever is in the repair shop

Fair point but I have to say I haven't seen the tread pattern on the kit tyres on anything other than early prototypes!

Chaps. Quarter Kit in France have now got stock of the resin replacement wheels and so have I ;D Pic below best describes the difference, replacements on the right... Accurate tread pattern, correct scale width and diameter. Will report back once primed and painted...

Those wheels look much better than the original one. Did they come clean from the sprue, or did you clean them?
