PE work just keeps getting better and better Andy! As for the value of the penny, it's got a melt value higher than the face value so it all depends on the going rates for copper and zinc as to it's true 'value'! Nice tip with the eraser as well, have to remember that one.

Hey Andy, Looking GREAT! Perfect Friuls and excellent PE work. 10/10 I took some Tiger Friuls to a couple of Dressmakers in town and odd looks from the assistant when I described what I wanted them for - not sure why? LOL! She let me try pins that she had on her work bench and they were all too big in diameter. I'm happy enough using the 0.5mm Brass Rod from my LHS for the time being - a couple of pounds buys more than enough 12" lengths of rod so I'm happy. I'll keep trying - you'll have to send me a couple of packs of yours dude I'm glad you mention OCD. I've had it real bad since High School. I'm a LOT better now but still have it. Imo it is the best 'illness' a modeller can have because, in your own eyes, nothing better than your own idea of perfection will do? That's why your work is so good! Seriously! Now get some paint on this sucker! Ben

MF72- No problem at all! I was just passing great tip along I learned from a friend at other forum. Now I can not remember who! LOL Maybe Carl or Marc...
Bullardino- Thanks buddy!
Bill- LOL! I saw news it now costs more to produce a penny than its actual value. Thought it was funny too. About the eraser tip, I think it was Marc or Carl at FSM who shared the great tip? My brain is dead... probably from those excessive nasty political ads on my TV.
Ben- What a cleve move by bringing dressmaker pin to a local tailor?!?!? I should do the same... I looked everywhere and it is not easy to find online. I learned something new... if you want thinnest pins, go for "insect" pins. They are the thinnest out there but very expensive I think.
OCD? I am just a clean freak! I like to clean kitchen before I leave for work. Maybe that's why my wife still loves me. LOL
Gary- LMAO! You made me burst out in laughter!!! I needed that...
Boots- Thanks! I am so glad you get to stop by and see what I am doing. Its nothing compared to your current taxi build! LOL

Marc- Love your idea!!! Maybe a thread covering all aftermarket tracks from Friuls to Magic Tracks to Modelkasten?
Was that you who shared the tip of using eraser on the mesh by the way? My brain is fried and I am trying to remember. LOL Had to throw in the penny just for you my friend. ;D

I have my 1st set of MK tracks waiting to be used on a T-55 and you don't have to twist my arm to build another one of those. Awesome kit. Not sure if it was me that said to use an eraser although I do do that. I seem to recall someone else mentioning that. Hard to keep track of what you come up with and what you pick up from someone else. But I gotta figure I am the only guy using a rock to add texture to rolled steel

Marc- Loved your tip about using a rock. But I forgot to ask you how to use it... just drop it on the build? On serious note it made your hull look very realistic! Rob- LOL! I like the giant penny better. LOL Boyd- Thanks man! Always good hearing from you! ICP- Thanks appreciate you stopping by! Eraser was a great tip I learned a week ago from somebody and I was just paying it forward. LOL Wouter- Thanks Duvel drinker! You know how much I love racks... LOL

Sharp, man has the look. No, no deer yet the weather has not been co-operative but it's supposed to be four above zero on Sunday morning so they'll be moving then for sure.

Spud & Reserve- Sorry about slow response! Things have been awfully busy at work. Often I'd find time to stop by during my breaks but not lately. On my lunch break now... wanted to say thanks! LOL Guys- Had to work for last two weekends. So my build has been very slow and I am really looking forward to long Thanksgiving weekend! Little update on my little Tiger... Steel cables that came with the kit was too thick and stiff (shown at top in the pic). Fortunately Voyager set came with better cables so I used them. The kit part... Improved look using Voyager PE set... The cable connecting the lamp to the hull actually came with the kit which was nice!

Nice upgrade indeed mate, that Voyager stuff, I really love it, they got a very good price/value and their stuff is just awesome. Look at the detail at the light, it just makes it tons better ey ^^
Just one little remark, but if you leave it as is it's still great: the wiring to the light, you added the wire to the light underneath or next to the protruding piece, but actually, in the protruding piece was a hole were the wire would be fitted (hope my explanation makes sense ;D)
Anywhoo, great stuff, oh yeah, never liked the Dragon tow cable wire, so good move to go with the Voyager one
Keep it coming my favourite racklover, lol ;D
Cheers

T- Thanks buddy!
ER- Appreciate it... my Tiger would have been completed by now if I was retired. LOL
Wouter- Thanks bro! Yes I get what you are trying to say. DUH! I shouldn't have followed Dragon's instruction. I was tired and in hurry to wrap up so I could go to bed. Will fix that... should be easy I hope. LOL And I will add bolts to the straps holding down the cable. Saw a picture and it shows bolts. Always learning something...

Dicky- Thanks mate! I couldn't have done without support from Wouter and Tony! Wouter has been sending me plenty of Duvel beer and Tony has been sending me steaks. You can't find better steaks outside Kansas and Missouri... lived there for two years. Spud- Appreciate it thanks! Gary- Friend? Or did you meant to say PE is my fiend? LOL ;D Will hit work bench as soon as I am done watching TV show Survivor... LOL

Nice to see this one making some progress Andy! Wouts has steered you the right way on the wiring conduit, if you can't fix it, don't sweat it too much...just chalk it up for something to remember next time. Got to love the DML instructions when it comes to something like that...especially after the effort of providing it as a pre-bent conduit!

Hi guys, Just dropping in before work! Deafpanzer - Top notch PE work as per usual my friend! I love the replacement tow cable and the PE additions to the headlights! Was it was fiddly to get the wires in place to them darn headlights? I found that very fiddly! I cannot wait to see what you do regarding the finish and paintjob, Andy, as the #3 Tiger with the Pz. III Turret bin is a pretty much SOLID white finish with slithers of basecoat grey - obviously like on the box art. I'd use the AK chipping stuff but not heavy chipping - their lighter stuff. so a lot of the whitewash stays put but obviously that only goes if you want to do a scheme like the box art. I know you'll do something amazing! Ben
