well, I guess if we licked the Jagd she would taste sweet ey ;D
but indeed lookin' darn fine mate, love those wingnuts!
Find it still odd that some of those were apparantly equipped with both the wooden block and the jack, since these were utterly useless on these heavy beasts. At the end of the KT production they were already discarded.
Welds look great btw, it's something which I find very hard to get right, but you sure do it Captain Cheeto's!
Cheers

Lui , Bob and Wouts , thanks for the tasty comments my friends!
Wouts , This being one of the original Jagd's i wasnt sure if the mounts for thr jack and block would still be left on the hull . Probably ?

Lui , Bob and Wouts , thanks for the tasty comments my friends! Wouts , This being one of the original Jagd's i wasnt sure if the mounts for thr jack and block would still be left on the hull . Probably ? I checked my references and drawings by Doyle and indeed, the jack and block initially were fitted, quite crazy though ;D what's interesting on photos of Fgst.305001 I have is that no gear like shovel, crank starter etc. were fitted. Oh I do like this build, makes me check out the details and such again in my books, love it! Cheers

Wouts , thanks for the info . Good to read about the external tools . I was planning on leaving that/them off . You seem to have a good reference on the Jagdtigers and Tiger II . Any info on what happened to Fgst. 305001 ? One more thing , would the spare tracks on the side of the casement be correct ? The kit shows four sets on each side .
;D

Nice work at the engine compartment mate. And yeah, the KT (together with the Tiger) is my big love if you can call it that (well, modelling wise that is ;D). And it's derivatives are cool as well. So got a few books on them what I could found about 305001 that it first was used for testing by the Army Ordnance Office. It had no tools, no barrel brace and no brackets on the side of the casemate. Later on it was reequipped by Verskraft in Kummersdorf. Apparantly it got tools this time, a barrel brace and twelve hooks for the spare tracks welded to the casemate sides. It received no zimmerit though here's an actual shot of reequipped 305001 I couldn't find where it was deployed or lost, but I'll try to figure that out (in any way she was reequipped with your mightly gun ey ;D Cheers

Wouts , interesting info . There seems to be a few different ways this one could be equiped , depending on the date . I'm going to add the 6 sets of spare track hangers . the kit comes with parts for 4 sets . I'm going to show the brackets for the tools but not mount many of them .
Thanks for the info and the photo . Got it saved . ;D

Just read that 305001 was destroyed while being transported via train from s.Pz.Jg.Abt 653 back to the Nibelungen factory in Austria . The info i read says this happened late war 1945 near Linz , Austria .

I found this Jagd with damage from an enemy round in the glacis (center) . The glacis on these was 5.9" ,150mm , thick. And my Jagd in B.W.
