Tony , i found this photo . The barrel is dark at the base and it shows well at it base next to the mantlet . I moved the barrel out and this looks about right . It will require about a 3/16th inch spacer .

That's it Carl, sorry I had to point that out in public but it's a common mistake of the barrel makers and not the builder.
Am I becoming a rivet counter? ???Bite your tongue. Tony lee

Nice update, Carl. Even if I'm not a german armor fan, I'm enjoying the historic part too, not only the great skills you're showing This JT will be a real show stopper, in the end

Here's pics of what i've been up too .Jagdy is still being work on . There are 12 spare track hooks per side and then there are the 6 hold down eyes also per side . The kit came with 8 hooks per side so i borrowed the extra 4 from another Jagd kit . I'm re-puttying around the welds on the casement sides to show more depth . These teeny tiny tarp tie down hooks are so small i used liquid cement only to bond them to the plastic .There is 5 per side of the casement and 4 along either side of the engine deck . I guess the casement roof leaked so a tarp was tied across the the roof and engine deck also . Probably durring transport and non combat times . These are the racks for the cleaning rods stowage . They nearly kicked my butt ! I got them completed and glued on .Then realized i had bent them the reverse of the intended direction . Phooey !!! I aint redoing them , just dont tell anyone about it , ok ? Back to the Jagd .

That's a serious piece of pipe.
Your Bondo looks more orange than mine. Is that the lighting or is it relay ground up Cheetos and Elmer's Glue?

Gar , yes that Bondo is good stuff . Mix it with cheetos to get a nice texture for zim . I have a tube of it thats gotta be at least 20 + yrs old ! No kidding . I like the stuff . I thin it with lacquere thinner in a jar . Did i say that already somewhere in this thread ? Hmmmmmmm ?

Crunch , crunch ,crunch..................huh ? Ooooops .he he ............scuse me while i clean my yellow hands bro . AAAHHH HHHAAAA!!!!!! Your BUSTED....i knew you couldnt resist! When you mix it with lacquer thinner does it stay better or dry faster? Ive not had any issues with it before as it is great filler. But if it works better i got plenty-o-thinner! Gary

Gar ......it dries faster when thinned with lacquer thinner bro . Only issue i had was that the stuff separated in the tube . Sometines i'd get nothin but liquid and other times paste ...guess that happened cause of the age of it ?
