Great result with that ammo storage, Gary BTW, those parts look so small it must be hard even to see them...

Here you are a backup copy of your kit's instruction leaflet: Theres no way thats a set of Dragon instructions. That makes sense and is easy to read..

Hiya fellas, I decided to try my hand a soldering again in the PE box. I must say it my best soldering job to date...i werent easy and the lid was a BEEEEEOTCH!!! But i think it looks ok. What do you guys think? I tend to try and keep a fairly tidy work area while i build, but just putting together that little box this is what it looks like right now. Just one tiny box....and my bench is a wreck! More tomorrow my friends! Gary

I got a 25w iron from radio Shack (i didn't even know we had those over here). From what i have read, these lower wattage irons are ideal for the sort of work modellers do. From what i gather the sort of solders you use also matters, i got two types for mine. But practice is deffinatly the key.

As Bish said, you're definitely a brave man What a nice job with that holder, very clean. BTW, if that is a mess, then my working space just had an earthquake

Gary- That's no mess,That's a BAD A$$ model in progress!! my modelroom is such a mess, the dog won't even go in there(((LOL))) LOL ;D ;D ....I guess its not tha bad after all. Its just bad for me i guess. I keep it tidy because my Modeling bench, tools and supplies drawers and shelves and my desk top PC and table take up half my bedroom, so i try to keep it decent in case the land lord or company comes by. I already tidy'd up this morning for tha days building session. I want to see you guys tornado ravaged work benches...post them here...i dont mind at all. C'mon....i dare ya!!! ;D Gary

Gary, try to remember Tony is a red neck he can make anything work! Even with a duct tape! I have been following his builds for a long time and he was the reason I jumped into PE... no need to blame him because I still like him!

Gary you don't really need all that stuff to work most PE. That rechargeable iron gave up and the batts are not replaceable so I got a Radio Shack iron like yours. The small tools are just from here and there that were in my tool box. The Small Shop makes several different sizes of benders and the one I have is the largest for fenders. (8 inch I think) A good quality bender like the Small Shop brand is key. You can't scrimp on one of those and expect consistent results. Like I said i'm at your service Tony lee

Thanks Tony! Can you be more specific on the type solder and flux you use. Brands, gauge, Liquid flux type and the like? Thanks. Gary
