i seem to be missing the helmet and gun... need to look in the spars box tomorrow. either way ill still be painting him

LOL that what the black was for and then go over it with teh base color and the highligh and shaddow showd fall into place, somtines it works.. As for doing all the shaddow and highlights im not that good at figs thats why i do them this way

Gday Spud, I just pulled this same kit out of the stash and started cleanup and assembly. Sorry but I am going to have to blatantly steal the upside down shadow technique.
Have you done any more on this?

Looking good so far Spud, nice shading trick with the upside-down-45-degree-angle approach. Now if only I had a third hand to make that kind of manipulation possible on a tank build!

Oooooh, very interesting. I have a couple of the 1/16 Tamiya figs (but not this one, unfortunately) that I'd love to get painted up.
Like the look of the shading technique - but I'm not quite visualizing it in my head. 45 degree angle in relation to what with the airbrush?

Hopefully Spud will chime in on this, but I imagine you would paint at a 45 degree dow angle, 360 degrees around.
If you had the extra bench time we could have a 1/16th figurw duel Dupes. :-)
