BMP-1 buy 1 take 1

The BMP-1 series of infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) was pioneered by the USSR during the 1960s to compensate the need of the infantry to catch up with the speed and pace of the Soviet armored fist.
It was designed to be loaded with 8 infatntry and for them to dismount from the vehicle when needed.
It revolutionized the concept of the armored personnel carrier as the infantry can already fire from the inside of the BMP while on the move.
The BMP is also capable of a limited anti-tank capability as it is armed with the 9M14 antitank missile. This missile was so potent that it took out many Israeli tanks during the Yom Kippur war.
The BMP-1 is also armed with a low-powered Grom 2A28 73mm gun and a secondary 7.62 PKT machine gun.

Trumpeter and DML produced 2 BMP-1 worth comparing.
My experience shows that Trumpeter produced a more accurate picture of the BMP compared to the old molding of the DML kit.
Trumpy's details are also very crisp and sharp.
