I am a new member and just wanted to say thank you to everyone, especially the "regulars" on this site. I have followed a few threads and have already learned a bunch of new things.
I built models back in the late 70's when Tamiya had the best out there and have now just recently started to build again. Things have changed and I am now just trying to keep up. I am mostly interested in WWII German modeling, but love seeing any realistic representation.
You guys are great, you really give great positive feedback and are open and receptive to a variety of techniques!!!!!!!!!!! I look forward to following your builds.
I love my Bier, don't eat too many Cheetos, but admire those that do!!!
Thanks again!!!

I am looking at building a Panther A late model, I am curious about after market tracks. I have looked at Fruilmodel , Tumpeter and Bronco tracks as well as seeing some Magic Tracks available from Dragon. I am not sure they are all available still. What are your guys thoughts on which tracks to get?
Along these same thoughts, I am wanting to get some zimmeret for the panther. I have looked at Atek, Cavalier, Eduard, or Verlinden. I am thinking I want to make any damage myself. Thoughts again?
What is the best glue for either resin or photo etched?
Thanks for any advice or opinions!!!!
Scott
Thanks a lot for all your advice?

Hey Scott, welcome to the gang, great to have you here!! Can't help you too much with the armor questions (I'm a wingy myself), but as far as the resin and PE go, you will generally need to use superglue (also commonly called CA by most modellers. Short for cyanoacrylate (spelling??)). I have heard of white glue being used for PE in some situations, but for the most part you will need CA to make 'em stick! No doubt the more educated armor modellers among us will chime in with advice regarding the other questions! Happy modelling! Cheers, Sam

If money is not an issue, go for them... you will not regret. Several vendors sell those... you can order one directly from this vendor... Red Frog Hobbies AM Zimmerit- If you want battle damages, then I would recommend any of resin sets... either Atek and Cavalier. Brass sets like Eduard or Verlinden will be very difficult to create damages. I have few Cavalier sets which I haven't tried and I have only "heard" despite my deafness great things about Atak. Best Glue- Believe it or not I use regular CA you can find at most stores... Loctite 'Control Gel' in blue... cheap and always work great for me. Gorilla CA is OK... too often I have to use pin to clear the hole. I recently brought one in green that allows more drying time which I will try on larger pieces or something like that. Hope this helps... as usual please do not hesitate to ask questions and post your work here. Those crazy guys are here to help as long as you buy them beer or iced tea for some.
