Thanks guys for following and the support on this project. This is a bit of a first for me i normally as a rule use a great north roads pre made diorama saves time. However this time its the whole hog. So step one was work out the basic plan. . DSC07363 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. Thats about as basic gets i needed to give it some shape and lift. The vehicles are just for working things out more to come on the vehicles later. . DSC07369 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. . Now with the aid of some foam board i was able to work out some depth height and layers Lower will involve water middle the vehicles Upper the Bridge I think for the Bridge it may be rail type. . DSC07367 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. Eye line view of the set up. . DSC07366 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. This view shows the curve of the road so as you can see the hapless wheeled vehicle came round the corner and never saw the tank till it was to late. Well thats the plan as stand trees shrubs posts tracks water steps ect will get worked in so now you know the basic plan Rgs Mac

Soon as i saw these photos change number 1 cam in and to help i used some rail foam board i got in Germany back in 2005. i want a mix of old and new stone work and i lined things up a little better now i have one of those bridges that spans a road and small cannel. . DSC07371 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. I have to see how to cut the bridge i dont want it to over power but i want it to feature see how i get on. Mac

Thanks Dicky In the past i have been a bit Lazy on Dioramas in built up areas as i said great fan of great North Roads stuff, but it means i have to fit in to the Diorama. Last year was a range Diorama on the site this year we move up a few levels This time i have gone for complete build.....silly me. No all joking aside its fun but it eats up your time mainly working out angles and the general set up on the first week. Again hours looking at rail bridge construction. Now finally on the off still a few tweeks up my sleeve along with the buns.lol. . DSC07377 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. First up was the supports these have had grooves cut in to them to have steel boxes added then the bridge frame. The leading edge of the bridge facing the water will be damaged and under repair. .I spent this weekend building the bridge frame its basic and i have yet to add rivets welds ect cladding the metal pipes are to carry cable ect over the water. . DSC07376 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. I have laid a bit of cladding on to show whats going on. . DSC07382 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. Now theres railings ect to add. This shot shows some cladding underway. . DSC07381 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. The waters edge was to straight so i added some changes. . DSC07378 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. Soon i shall start scouting out figures hope to get myself to the Huddersfield show this weekend. This is a long project so stick with me guys. Rgs Mac . . .
