Right fellas, had a very good session although it may not look like it to you but it really was thought I'd get the turret box finished before fitting and got some wire on the reel Bits all fitted and a couple of views from the front Trying to use as much of the PE as possible still, the new medication is working nicely now but has took a bit longer getting in my system. Be back later with more I hope

Nice progress Ian, glad the meds are allowing you more build time. PE work is nice and clean and the turret's looking good with the added details and other bits.

They look great in white don't they, as do the Scorpions Leon, I've got one of these too mate. My fave photo I have noticed most photos of UN Scimitas especially those in Bosnia, as per the photo above, had front lights fixed under the front end and not above like most kit photos show them Thanks for your great comments guys, getting very near the paint

Hi Robbo Thats looking great mate; fantastic work on the PE. The AFV Club Scimitar was one of my favourite builds ever. Unfortunately I put it away for a while and the kit's decal's backing turned yellow. Watch out for that it would really spoil your kit. You're right it does look great in white. A few months in the sun and it's a bit better but it was demoralising I just need to add the padding to the hatches which I forgot and then knock up a crew. This is one of my fave pics from Bosnia 1994 IIRC the front lights were moved underneath to accomodate the extra stowage boxes Smudge

That's nice Smudge, now get her finished Ta for clearing the lights thing up, I'll change them to underneath type (they're in the kit) and wack some boxes on the front

They are B192 ammunition boxes (maybe Mk1) used for 81mm Mortar HE (L15A1). The 7.62mm boxes were just me ad libbing I also added an Accurate Armour black water can to the rear stowage bin which I'd seen on another photo. The decals yellowing put me off finishing. I must finish it but you know what it's like so many distractions the latest being IBG's Bedford Your's is turning out great. It's about time AFV Club updated the kit the current Scimitar is really differant to this kit. On saying that I will get another for my Gulf War dio Smudge

Tough choice there Ian, go with what works best as a combo I'd say! Scimitar's looking the bee's knees.

Thank fellas, some big hitters in here is good to see, must be looking pretty good then I personally like the bins, Mrs R like the shiny things, d'oh, she makes my head hurt, I did explain the error of her ways, that would all be the same colour soon, don't think she understood though Them tins on the front end came from a Warrior build that is sitting in a box in a yellow base coat, complete with bandy tracks, no extras on that one, anyway, thought that would look rather good in a UN white paint job too and I have enough UN decals to suffice so, it's going to get a new paint job right after this one
