I appreciate the comments on the wheels guys.
They were no trouble really and I agree with John; Well worth doing for the improvement they will make.

One thing I thought this kit desperately needed was better wheel. After searching for after market wheels, the only thing for the WC series trucks I could find had snow chains on them. I wasn’t real crazy about the chains, so I contacted Steve Reid at Celticwerks. He was able to take care of some wheels for me. I had to share this because I believe they are the best wheels I have ever seen cast in resin. If you need custom cast pieces, give Steve a try. He really does excellent work!! Those are some of the best casts I have ever seen.

Love those CW wheels. Steve does do fantastic work. I looked CW's site over and see your contribution but do not see these wheels at all, I was looking for the wheels for the front of the M3 half-track or the Ben Hur trailer which are the same. Bones

Hi Teabone. The wheels for the M3 and Ben Hur trailer are different than these wheels. The Ben Hur used regular Bud rims (civilian type) instead of the combat rims like those on the WC’s. I’m working on a master for the Ben Hur wheels as the Italeri water tank trailers have the wrong wheels. They should be the Bud rims as well. www.cckw.org/ben_hur_trailers.htm

When Big John gets back to building this I though that maybe some of the affectionado's for this kit might want to read the below article. The reference in it to " Masorite" should read Masonite but the one that I have long wondered about is what is a "scattle" maybe some of my British cousins hold an answer. www.dodgewc54.com/dodge_wc54_history.htmBones
