For the first time in, well, EVER, I finally have an unlimited 4g wireless connection at home! The location of my house has precluded me from getting a landline for DSL or cable, and satellite is riDICULOUSLY expensive. So U.S. Cellular (my cell provider) finally came through and expanded my phone's data plan from 5 gigs a month to no limit. 5 gigs sounds like a lot until you do the math and realize that that comes to 161 mb per day. Look through 5 or 6 threads here on MSCF that I have a lot of unedited pics and that disappears in a HURRY! Long story short, I'm going to start working visits to MSCF back into my daily routine now that I don't have to worry about incurring exorbitant fees for exceeding my bandwidth. Yay!  |

Believe me man, that's about what it feels like. SOOOO frustrating...built the house 9 years ago now, and am just getting real internet. It's not like I live totally out in the boonies, either!

Boo - when I got it a couple of years ago, that 5GB a month was a big upgrade at the time. But as websites get more complex and cameras get better (leading people to post higher and higher res pics!), bandwidth just got to be increasingly scarce.
Bill - you're telling me, my friend! Been a long time since I was able to frequent forums regularly...about '09 or '10 when I could still squeak by on unlimited dialup. But that was when there were 800x600 photo-size limits.

Hahahahha...killing me, Andy! I'm actually trying to put together a thread of all of my finished builds for 2013 so you can all get a summary of what I've been working on. Knocked out about 3 of the shelf queens so far (or is it 4? or 5?) along with a couple of new ones that were calling my name. Heh.
Yeah, it's been a rough winter here this year. Not spending much time outside!
