Hoping one of you experts can help me out with this
I'm having a problem with my Badger 105, bear with me as I try to describe this coherently.
Frequently while I am using it, when I engage the trigger to get a light flow of paint, nothing comes out. As I increase the pull back on the trigger nothing happens until BAM big splat of paint. After that, it works fine for a bit delivering a fine misting. If I stop for a minute, then I find I have to blow it open again.
I'm using Tamiya Acrylics thinned 50/50 with Mr. Color Leveling Thinner. Regulator is set to 15 psi.
When it starts flowing, beyond the initial splat, it flows fine and paints wonderfully.
What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like the tip is clogged or restricted. I have this issue with Vallejo a lot of the time as they will dry up in the tip and I need to blast it out. Have you shot anything like Future through it? I have done this and not cleaned it well enough and had similar results.
I would take the gun apart and clean it thoroughly (which you may have done already) Sometime I let the tip soak in windex or even the thinner and the with a cleaning tool try and clean that tip out really good.
Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback. I have given it a good cleaning. I'm going to try bumping the pressure up a few lbs and maybe thinning a little more.
The Mr. Color Leveling Thinner is supposed to have a retarding agent in it that should help prevent drying.

I would also check to see if the teflon washer is in good condition as a worn washer can also affect the operation of the air brush
