I've started this new Nemrod kit while waiting for the first layers of groundwork to dry on the 120mm trench diorama that I have previously posted a few figure pictures from. This is an excellent resin kit and just requires a bit of the usual clean-up. WW1 is my favorite period to model so needless to say this bust hit the bench as soon as it became available! This is the first pass on the face - base coated with Andrea #2 from their Flesh Paint set. First Highlights and shadows from Andrea and Vallejo acrylics. Much more to do... The Kit. Reference photo of the leather straps, ammo pouches and uniform from the Last Cavalry personal collection. Now back to work filling orders!!!!

Man that helmet looks real! For a second there I thought you were showing another 'collection' item and not the kit part.

More progress on the Poilu - Tunic colors are blocked in preparing for shadows, highlights and creating wool cloth effects using pointillism techniques. This process takes a very long time but I have found the results to be worth it in the end...
