Are you boarding the walls or just straight plastering. if you insulate the roof space it will keep it cooler in the summer, sounds daft i know but it works, ill stick some pics of mine up when i get the chance. Im having an intercom but only so the Fuhrer can tell me to get in the house Paul

So does it still qualify as a cave with that much natural lighting? Or is it now a "greenhouse"? Either way, looks like you're getting that much closer to putting it into service Dicky!

Guys- I L-O-V-E your man caves! Always enjoy pics of man caves, stash, and pets even cats too! Dicky- Dig your future man cave! Let us know when the open house party is and we can come over with some house warming gifts... Here's my man cave... My stash... I have more but they are hidden so my wife will never know the true size of my stash. ;D All figure sets are stored inside storage boxes... My modeling buddy... Have another smaller dog but it follows my wife everywhere and it hates me...

Andy- I like everything about your space except the clock. If you have a clock- then you can estimate how P.O.'d SWMBO will be when you emerge from the cave. That knowledge can give you modelers block....
Otherwise it is fabulous! :-)
jackwagon- If I lived nearby I would certainly be over to help out. Building the shop is nearly as fun working in it.
Great spaces! Love this thread seriously.

LOL! Thanks everybody. Yes my stash isn't too big yet... three years since my return to the hobby I have about 60 kits and I have no idea how many figure sets I have. You can get those cabinets from Lowes or Home Depot... Gladiator cabinet system. Many houses in midwest has a basement so it really helps. Chrisb- Yes just two rotary kits but I hope to get more. I wasn't planning on that but after building a Huey for my friend's 50th birthday last winter it got me hooked into rotary thing!!! He flew Hueys for 14 years while he was in the Army. His wife paid for everything and I just build. Nice way to take a break from armors and do a quick build to keep my mojo going!!! I'd be more than happy to post more pics of the Huey in other thread if you want.

Been a while since I looked in here fellas.
Dicky: Great change with the roof/ceiling mate. Gonna have plenty of light now, heh.
Andy: Great space sir. Very tidy;). I love your stash. Seems you made half of Dragon's shareholders' dividends last quarter between the kits and fig sets;). Nice!
Gary: Nice work space sir. Yours looks more like mine. Lived in and imperfect and I can appreciate that. Great space! Dig your stash. What's next for you?

My new man-cave( ??) -hopefully arriving in the next two weeks- still have to do the preparatory ground-work .e.g. replace existing lightbulbs with daylight bulbs, some fresh paint on the walls etc ;D And look I can make it magically bigger when I get that Dora for my Birthday/Christmas TTFN P

Nice looking caves guys.
Gary love the cool pics of the Tigers on the wall. Great looking Lab bro. My black Lab named Rocky is 8 1/2 and has one of 6 basketballs in his mouth LOL. The Yellow Lab Tommy ( a Duddly Lab) is my buddy and is always with me in my room.

Gary: Nice work space sir. Yours looks more like mine. Lived in and imperfect and I can appreciate that. Great space! Dig your stash. What's next for you? Yeah i like being able to roll my chair from the bench to the bed side and straight into the pillow. Me and one of my sisters are house mates. I let her decorate the whole house the way she wanted as long as i have my man cave to myself. My own little modeling world!!! ;D I am going to build an easy breezey model for now. The 1/48 Tamiya M4 sherman "Hurricane" From D-Day+1. I say that because i dont have the wadeing stacks for it. ;D Gary
