no notice at all? That's kinda sad! I lost a job many years back with exactly twenty minutes notice and a pat on the butt. Found a new job pretty quickly but at a greatly reduced wage rate. Then Uncle Sam offered me a job that I couldn't turn down for a grand sum of $71 a month net! When I was finally released from his indentured servitude, there were no jobs to be found. But I managed to land one anyway. Came close to being laid off a couple times, but always got by (well I was laid off once for about 16 hours). My name and qualifications hit the super computer list, and was bombarded with offers all over the country. Just hang in there as you'll soon come up with something to tide you over. gary

Sounds like you may have a great opportunity there Sam! Always pays to keep up good relations with people, you never know when an occasion like this will turn up.

Howdy blokes! Well, good news, I am once again gainfully employed! Got the job, start in a couple of weeks! Seemed like Colin thought it was just a formality, makes a difference when you have worked with them recently. He even matched my previous salary without batting an eyelid, and I was expecting I would have to take a pretty decent reduction!! Yep, I'm a pretty happy chappy right now! Thanx so much for your support fellas, nice to be able to share the highs as well as the lows with me noo chums! Cheers, Sam

Result ! Well done buddy... I'm really pleased for ya. What a weight off your mind that must be eh? Starts in a couple of weeks? That must mean some well earned bench time!

Thanks guys! Great outcome and massive relief, for sure!! Steve: Yeah mate, have already had some pretty good bench time the last couple of days! Managed to finally get an undercoat on the Wessex, and I have made some pretty big inroads into my local club group build, called "Tamiya OOB". I am building their 1/48 Me-262 A2-a with captured British markings. Already have the cockpit pretty much done and all the undercarriage bays sprayed. Will post pix soon to celebrate!! Cheers, Sam
