Alright, so hello all. Name's Nate aka multicam and I've returned to modeling after a 20 leave of absence I absolutely love the hobby now and have been hard at it since last summer. While preparing to post these pics, I realize how much I've learned and how much progress I've made over the last few months. I'm not to the level of most of you on here, but soon will be ;D so have patience with me. Also, any hints, tips, critiques that you wanna share, are welcome.
Tamiya Humvee w/ Bushmaster first kit I ever painted and weathered. Did it with my son.

Tamiya Challenger I this time. 2nd model, and this time I worked on dry brushing, and added streaking and more weathering to my repertoire. Also, tried out the herb camo netting.
From the rear, though it's blurry (sorry), you can see the fire extinguisher on which I tried my first attempt at the HS technique. I was pleased enough. Bad thing about contemporary vehicles is the limited weathering
Also did a figure with this one in British DPMs that was my first, though I gotta take another pic
Next one I did was the Revell leicht Wolf. I chose to do a custom ISAF version based on a couple of photos I found online of actual German KSK units serving in afghanistan. My first camo pattern as well as my first custom work. Though I did make some rookie mistakes. After taking considerable care masking the windows and the headlights, I sprayed a matte finish to lock down the weathering without masking
This one you can see my custom tarps on the side (made from foil yogurt tops ) and my netting that turned out pretty well.
in the above you can see the "canvas" top that I removed to give it an open back look. I also left off the rear and rear right and left side panels/windows. Now all I need to do is fill it with AM stowage and G36s etc. ;D
Ok, here's my best to date Tamiya's SAS Jeep. This one has a lot of firsts...
My first scratchbuilds... racks for jerry cans, straps for packs/canteens...
My first base... my first sculpting work (sleeping rolls/tarps on front)
Also, first extensive figure work (pretty pleased), also first thorough use of HS technique.
Lastly my current WIP which I'm doing wholly with my airbrush (first ) Trumpeter Stryker M1126 ICV which has my first PE experience and for which I've got some cool AM stowage.
Let me know what you think. More to come!
