CSS Hunley

Well this one did float for a while at least
As the second model in this year's competition for SMA contest I submitted submarine of CSS Hunley, which was released by Verlinden. This kit contains two version - the whole boat and the water line. I made the water line several years ago and now it's time for the full versions.

Looks to be an interesting build  there seems to be some warp on the hull? Or is that intentional?
could be a pain to straighten her out

stevem - you scared me. I run to then next room to check the kit out. And thankfully it's only pictures this kit is straight . I don't think I could handle another warped kit from Verlinden.

At this point I'm removing all resin intakes and some imperfections preparing the kit for primer.

Good idea but I will be making this one like befor watering

The kit is almost assembled and it will soon go into primer.

The boat is assembled and coated with primer. I pre-shaded and pre-highlighted it with white and dark gray primer. Thus prepared, the model waits for color.

Looking great!!! Have to tell you about huge build we saw at a local show yesterday... it was like 1/16 scale or maybe bigger! Hope I took picture of it if not maybe somebody else did...
