...........i kind of liked my meds. the colors were incredible. lots of sleeping and rest. my only issue is when i was taking them i had trouble walking. or doing anything. it made some things difficult. driving. working. modeling. having a conversation. but the way gary is going along with his tutu/kilt i may need to go back to them. because............... another good part of them is i remember very little of the time i was on them. just thought i would clarify the meds comments. have a wonderfully medicated day. joe

now gary you dont have to try to make me feel better. if you have a tutu it is your life buddy. no matter what the coloring is. actually it was a bit of truth in there. about 8 years ago i hurt my back and couldnt walk for about a month. i stopped taking the meds because of the reasons i gave and to be honest they stopped taking the pain away. now i rarely take anything at all. if i do it is something over the counter like ibprofin. the pain has not gone away but the body and mind are amazing things. i am finding that given enough time you can train yourself to ignore much of it. wanted to clarify the joke. i have been using the joke since early after hurting my back. i was online with a friend in georgia and as we were chatting i started to see some really interesting colors and combinations. my next and final comment for that conversation was, "i need to go lie down". became a running joke for me after that. joe

I guess I'm lucky. I'm 41 this year and the back is still good. I do get the odd twinge here and there, and truth be told I had a few more problems when I was carrying the extra weight. I have dropped 16kg and am down to about 80kg now and it has made a big difference to my health, including any back problems I used to have. I am still very wary of anything to do with the back though! I know a lot of guys who are having problems with theirs, and I know the back is one of those body parts that can just cause you so much heartache if it goes haywire. I am sure it may give out on me some day, but until then I am very wary of anything to do with my back. I feel for all you guys, and hope you are all able to find ways to deal with your respective issues. As long as you can all model!!!! Cheers, Sam

honestly i try to ignore it as much as possible. my thought process is there are folks out there that are unable to get up and move around at all. i shouldnt whine about my little issues.
i do have to say that on more than one occasion i have had to get up in the middle of some activity at the office or at the bench and had to move around because of the "discomfort". i tend to tell everyone that i will go with it till i cant walk and then it will be taken care of.

Actually I pulled my back last week while clearing snow off the driveway. I am seeing my chiropractor for the fourth time this afternoon. And I have a pack of ice on my lower back right now while working at my desk. Guys like you bring a lot of laughter and it is truly the best medicine for us old guys.

andy laughter doesnt cure anything but there are times you just have to smile and move on. gary in the tutu/kilt is definitely something to make folks smile. joe
