Hello Whiterook, Holy smoke! You are cranking this one out. As for a D-Day bird, anything would look good with invasion stripes! As for the overspray into the wheel wells, I trick that I have used with good effect is: Take some facial tissue paper, lightly mist it with a squirt bottle and, gently stuff it into the wells. What ever won't stuff cut off and use else where. I use this with open cockpits as well. I use the blue tape for general masking as well. For the more fine detail masking I use the Tamiya stuff. Thin and not overly tacky. It comes in multiple widths. 6mm, 10mm, 18mm and 40mm. You may find it's easier to work with when masking canopies. Good luck and keep up the solid work. Dave

Agree with the others, the D-Day stripes really set this one apart!

Hey WR, sorry I missed this one! Anyway, nice job mate, those bright invasion stripes provide a lovely contrast with the OD paint work. Plus, the P-38 is just a darn sexy airplane to boot! Great job buddy! Cheers, Sam

Thanks for all the great comments though-out the original thread posting. I updated the thread tonight to put the pictures back in. Also, I'd have gone on to enter this in an IPMS show, in which she'd won a Silver Medal!!! Thanks for looking!!!
