Hia all, I just have a quick question.
I need to repaint the cabin of my Waffentrager, and was wondering if immersing it in thinner for a while then scrubbing it would work, and if so, if that would strip other paint that had been flat coated.
If the latter happens, that's not too much of a problem.
Thanks!

I haven't done that before but I do remember reading a lot of comments about using 'Green Stuff'... I hope somebody can answer your question or have had experience using the Green Stuff.

Again it depends what kind of paint did you use? Enamel or acrylic?

Be careful, some thinner will melt styrene...

I've just used acrylics the whole build .the thinner I was thinking of usin is "odourless paint thinner" from home hardware - its turpentine, I believe.

It's nearly impossible to edit posts on an iPod, so ill just make another one for this; I am trying the thinner on an old turret that I need to reprint anyway - if it works, yay, and if not then I Know what not to do.

Fairy Power Spray I understand is handy, soak the painted stuff in it and seal it all in a plastic bag and leave for a while...

Acrylics will come off using general household spray cleaners. In the UK most popular tend to be Mr Muscle (Oven cleaner works as well) or Fairy Power Spray.
Just spray it on bag it up, seal it and wait (overnight is good) Scrub and rinse off. Any stubborn areas repeat!

Thanks guys . I tried both bleach and the runner in an old turret, and neither worked. I eventually just wet sanded the bad bits, and will reprint later. Thanks for the suggestions though - I'm sure they will be handy next time I mess up .
