Airfix 1/48th HMT 600 Coyote

  Evenin all. This is my first build of Airfix's Herrick vehicles and I'm impressed. Sink marks are out of the way. The sprue gates are nice and small and the moulding are clean and crisp. I'm building it OOB with the exception that I'm using some 5 mil Tamiya tape to simulate the rubber strips around the wheel arches. I've also decided to try a what if? with the paint job. Arctic camo. The seat and wheel cover are still tan as i have plans for one. I want it to look like it's been hastily converted to arctic ops, so they've not had time to change the seat covers ETC.

I really have to learn to airbrush. I've hand painted the camo and im not that happy with it..Serious weathering should hopefully hide it..I've painted the tape round the wheel arches black/grey to simulate the rubber strips.

Had a busy few days so not got alot done..I've sorted the front end a bit more, and started with the fun bit, weathering. As you can see from the front wheel, it's going to be driving through deep wet mud..I've ordered some tamiya textured snow paint, so thats going into the mix too
Then this arrived!!!.... Meet Bob. The tiny tiger with a midget mind..

Cute bench buddy! Have to beware of cats though...the two we have love to steal things off the bench when you're not watching. I've had to retrieve a paint brush or two at times. Nice progress on this one KP!
