Hey guys - wondering what it is you watch when you want some extra motivation at the bench. My fallback is Band Of Brothers (especially when I'm doing WWII stuff), but eventually I'm going to get tired of it - and I don't want that to happen! I'd be interested in just about anything military related. Armor, aircraft...something else? Good documentaries would be fine in addition to movies/series.
Here's what I've got already:
Saving Private Ryan Band Of Brothers Pacific Enemy At The Gates Blackhawk Down Top Gun WWII In Color Hunt For Red October

World at War Series - It dates from the Seventies narrated by Laurence Olivier score by Carl Davies and still regarded by many as the definitive history of WWII. 26 epidodes over 22 hours of classic WWII footage from all theatres. If that don't get the juices flowing - nothing will (you can pick it up on DVD for around £20 if you look hard enough!

Ahhh, I did forget about A Bridge Too Far. Good armor action, even though it's hiiiiighly inaccurate armor action.
Chris - I'll have to check out some of the others on your list, can't say that I've seen any of them (Longest Day maybe).
Detailfreak - are there full documentaries on Youtube? I had no idea.

Dupes, they may not be accurate, but to me they stand the test of time.I've seen BoB maybe 30 times over the years, and the aircraft in the flying sequences, although not entirely accurate, were flying, and not CGI!!

Very nice film footage in there. I love the "Red Baron." The Mel Gibson flick of LZ X-ray (1st CAV) is very good. I always like "The Flight Of The Intruder." Best WWII flick for me is "Saving Private Ryan." The old "Flying Tigers" flick with John Wayne is one of my favorites as well. gary

Andy - for sure! Shoot me a list.
Leon - forgot about those two. Adding to the queue! Only issue with MC (which I love) is that I don't have satellite access in the basement (yet?). May have to fix that.

Dupes, IMO, Battle of the bulge with Henry Fonda is one of Hollywood's worse efforts for a very important WWII battle. Im so embarrassed for that Movie. Your list is fantastic and i would add Blue Max, Battle of Britain, Kelly's heros and Crimson Tide. Gary
