Nemo-Thanks, I am glad you like it. The remodel will be just another carpentery job, have done that all my life so at least I know what I'm getting into. The compainon kit will be the Tammy M1A2 which is suffering assembly right now but have not thought it out any farther yet.
Gary-No, sure don't want any finger choppin' I will be careful. I am struck by your admiration, thanks for the compliment
Regards, Mark

Looks like you got it to the perfect stopping point, just put it someplace safe while the basement/cave gets the makeover! Sheetrock dust is a real pain to deal with...I'm still cleaning up some dust left over from a job that was done to create my paint room 2 years ago.

Leon-Thanks much for such a kind assessment
Bill-Ain't that the truth about rock dust; it finds its way into the most amazing places does it not?
Andy-Thanks also, and that may come sooner than I thought as
It looks like I'll be getting perhaps a week's extra time before the remodel starts, the HVAC guys are sort of behind and I may just be able to squeak this one out. The Tammy M1A2 went together so fast I sat there for ten minutes looking thru the instructions thinking "There's got to be more to it than this...". Perhaps I'll not have to stop this one in the middle of things.
Regards, Mark

Thanks Bill This will be the last update on this for the foreseeable future, but at least the Tammy M1 is largely complete There will be some, probably all, who notice something funny by the loader's hatch. The kit supplied M-240 was wretched at best, the barrel broke off when being removed from the sprue, and I did not have a replacement. Therefore, I decided to have a bit of fun and sideswipe the what if concept. I scratched out a mount and an ammo box tray and plunked the MK 19 (?) on in place of the 240. After all, if you have Ma Deuce, who needs a puny M-240? Can always be changed out later if it looks too offensive. Any thoughts? Regards, Mark

You've gotten this one to the perfect stopping point Mark! Hopefully it won't be too long before you've got your work area back and can finish it off. I like the M19, gives it some additional 'character' IMHO.

Looking great! Gary is not alone... stopped by LHS while I was on business trip... saw Tamiya latest Abrams kit but it was nearly $70 or $75! Ouch... tempting!

Leon-Thank you sir
Bill-Shouldn't be be more than a couple three months or so if all goes as planned haw, haw
Jeff-Nor too much ammunition either
Gary-Thanks brother, and after doing the Tammy I actually think that the woofer built into a better model as much as I hate to admit it. If you don't mind the extra work involved that may be the way for you to go when you get around to an Abrams build
Andy-That's a mighty spendy kit, don't think I'd go for it knowing that you can get a Dragon woofer for about $24 from ScaleHobbyist
Likely be haunting you guys during the break
Regards, Mark

Yeah, I am with you guys... Tamiya shouldn't be selling for that much. Thanks! I think Dicky is planning to get me one if he wants me to build another modern armor.
