Thanks again Bones. She should be sitting (temporarily) on her brake drums tomorrow. I will send pictures. Thanks for your support.

Hello All. As promised, here are a few pictures of Katy sitting on her brake drums. There is still a bit of adjusting and a lot of detailing to do, but I like the results so far. As always, I thank you, and welcome your input.

That is really great, this is going to be a real prize winner when completed, whats next on the agenda. Your going to be entering the more difficult body parts soon.

Thank you Bones and Bill. There's still quite a bit of detailing on the suspension and frame to do, but I will be starting the cab within a week or so. Thanks again for looking in.

I find this almost every time I build something Dicky. That's pretty much why I haven't done much with the cab, bed, or launcher yet. Thanks very much

Thanks Leon. I pretty much have the front axle adjusted to where it needs to be. There's just a few more things to do, and the frame and suspension are ready for paint.

Hi again everybody. Well, after a week or so and a few minor bouts of my carpal tunnel flaring up, the front axle is now ready for paint. Here's a few pictures. As always, I thank you, and welcome your comments.

That axle is a masterpiece of scratch, this is really going to be a good lesson on how to do it. How did you make that axle? My guess is you cut the center out of stock and the added strips for the flanging. The king pin support I'm guessing were round stock drilled for the king pins, may I see the day when I can come close to that.

Thank you Bones. You nailed it. That is exactly what I did. I still think you can do something like this. :-) You just have to be crazy enough to try. :-)

I am going to try more as I go but not yet to the extent that you have with this build. I have a Ben Hur trailer that will be a 50+% scratch build probably after a Humber kit which I think will be next.

Hi again everybody. The frame is basically finished and ready for primer (YAAAAAYYY! ). I am sure I"ll need to do a little spot filling and adjusting (mostly on the brake bellcranks) , but there shouldn't be much. I also have most of the rear suspension ready for primer too. As always, I do thank you for following, and welcome your input.

Now that is very interesting, I do not have any pics of the old Rio or Auto Car truck differentials but I thought they rode with the pumpkin side down and the drive contacts up but looking at your springs it looks reversed. Your doing some great work here.

Thank you Bones and Andy. You are correct Bones. It looks like the springs are reversed. I have no idea why though.
