So here I was cosidering a visit to the Fargo air show when I see an announcement that the main attraction will not be attending!!! TheBlue Angels are cancelling shows because of budget cuts,sheesh,perhaps grounding airforce one would be a better way to save money.  |

That's a real bummer,Greg!!!  ....The Red Arrows keep getting mentioned in the budget cuts over here,but so far they've survived  ...Not sure how long for,tho??? |

heres another,is it true that the Obama admin. has made the military a non-essential branch of the govt. in the event the govt.goes broke so to speak?Hope I am not in violation of forum rules here,if so just let me know..

Well, were not to go into politics as it can start debates and some unnecessary confrontation and MSC doesnt want any animosity between members because of political beliefs and positions. Its hard to do with so much crazy stuff goin on And i kinda snapped and did what i shouldnt have. Not being able to go enjoy the Blue angels is a valid point. But the reasons givin by "BIG BROTHER" for not being able to see & enjoy those type things is a touchy subject that is probably better suited for another forum. Basically i broke the rules and i wont comment again on the subject. Yep, im putting myself in timeout! Gary |

I am less concerned about missed WH tours and the Blue Angels than I am about cuts to programs like Head Start, Meals on Wheels, the loss of civilian jobs on military bases, the increase in emergency response times in rural communities... the list goes on and on...

There is no question I agree with everybody comments here. But please keep in mind here is not the place to talk politics. That's why we have Facebook. You should see my posts... If I had realised this thread was gonna start getting political,I would not have made my comment about the Red Arrows.I thought it was purely a lament that one of the best display teams in the world,was not showing,after having been advertised!!!! OK fellas....Just to be on the safe side,I have locked this thread down.Nuff said!!!!!   |
