As I have been seriously hitting the armour lately it's time for a relaxing build so I have chosen the new trumpy Vampire kit. The kit has had a serious slagging on a few forums but I don't really care as it looks like a vampire to me. There are a few improvements I can make but nothing too complicated. So watch out for updates soon.

Why worry, each of us is wearing an unlicensed nuclear accelerator on his back.

Hiya Pete! Cool aircraft there, ive not seen one built before so im in! This is a post WWII Jet, as in right after...'45-'46? Gary Yep you are correct oh porky one! I eat babies!! hilarious I've been hitting the Vamp hard sanding the joint lines and re-scribing the panel lines back plus adding the missing wing tip lights. Due to lots of sanding the bench looks like this, Don't know how it happens but in the blink of an eye the bench is a total mess and I end up working in a six inch square section surrounded by total mess! However it's been fun, here are a couple of quick pictures before I tidy up The model has had a nice bath ready for piming which hopefully will be done tomorrow.

Great build Pete, the Vamp is one of my favourite 50's jets so I'm really pleased I found yer thread matey Did the kit go together straight or did you have to fight to line things up?

Looking forward to seeing this one with paint on Pete, don't feel bad about your bench...same thing happens to mine all the time! Only time it's 'clean' is when one build ends and another is about to begin!

Cheers guys glad you approve, I'm going for a silver undersides/green and grey upper surfaces scheme on this one. The kit does build up quickly with no issues. Today I primed and then sprayed the silver undersides so may get the upper surfaces done in the morning. No pics yet but will post some tomorrow.
