This is a sad day in sports. :-[The loss of life and those severely injured today is unbearable.What is wrong with the persons responsible for this senseless action.  My heart felt condolences go out to those who lost loved ones and injured.  |

My family's thoughts and prayers go out to all impacted by today's events. Being a MA resident it does bring things close to home so to speak. Still a crazy seam and will be questions for days and weeks to come. Trying to keep my girls informed but letting them know to be patient with information as we all know too well that the media can speculate more than report the news...they are in the dark to at this time as much as everyone else. Sadly they confirm and 8 year old as one of the two confirmed dead.
Senseless act of cowards be it foreign or domestic. From what I see and read on the mainstream media and social networks these individual(s) should probably be hoping the authorities catch up with them first.

It's so tragic. My heart bleeds for those victims. Lets pray that those responsible will be found and delt with accordingly.

The news is suggesting that a 'device' was found and defused. Hopefully this will provide a wealth of forensic evidence that helps the police track down these... people. |

we have a marathon comming up in Indy (next month?), and the FBI trucks have already been spotted downtown. This is just nuts! I'll probably just go fishing by myself, and be safe.
Now I don't have a clue who did this act, but if they think they can test the resolve of the American citizen, they're in for an education!

My FM channel in the car changed to AM around 4:30AM starting with a DJ saying " WARNING,If you are a resident of Watertown You need to stay inside, away from windows and doors...there is a good chance you or your family can be seriously injured or die!!" Was a rather staggering message to say the least. Very pleased to see the suspect apprehended. Collectively I think the public might agree it was better to take him alive than the "other" way. Closer with the possibility of getting some answers. The city can rest easy tonight! The men and women of the services JTT (30 some odd agencies) have gone above and beyond in their duties to protect the public!! Big thanks to all of them!! Ollie, yup...very aware! We live under the Constitution of the United States and it is their right to do so...however it will most likely be the right of the Hell Angles to aid in protecting the rights to privacy of the victims as they did in New Town and several other trageties. I think there would be 1/2 a million individuals in Boston Proper that would have something to say for it to. I am good with these trolls staying put in there little cult and wait for the next comet to arrive!! |

Well said Gary! It has been a shame that the events in Boston have eclipsed the tragedy in West. Getting information on the local news not to mention out National have been only the crisis here. I can assure you that there is still a lot of thoughts and prayer from here to there during this past days. The West explosion has been the water cooler talk along with Boston. All senseless losses and images that will stay with us all!

Yeah Ollie, I don't think what you said made it look like you were singling out the faith itself. All is good buddy. I only worry that if the WBC does picket, that the "media" no matter the station, will misinterpret who they are with the peaceful individuals of the Baptist faith. More often than not, the media get things wrong and incites a social media riot before anyone else can.

what bothers me now is that the FBI is saying they were just part of a much larger sleeper cell! Now this bothers me as they could be up the street or something. I'm too danged old for this! Folks are now worried about wether or not they read the Meranda Rights to them, but a terrorists don't get that nod in this country, and it should be that way.

I believe that even with the colorful past present and future they still hold true to a common human code and values. They took it upon themselves to organize in Newtown as in many other situations to protect the rights of some that might not be able to protect themselves at the time. I think when law enforcement looks at this this may be taken into consideration add with the fact that if something did go down that the Angels have quietly resolved the situation(s) before and worst case the get arrested....been there done that I am sure and who wants to mess with them in lock up? LOL!! I will pass!
