Hi fellas..............yes another build on the go Some of you guys may remember this 32 coupe from a while back, it was a build for the SMA comp some time ago......... This was her in her hayday............ This is her now!!!!! The roof was originally chopped by 5mm...................i`ve now dropped it another 2mm in the next pics, also she has been channeled to drop the body by 5mm on the chassis..... This is just a rough mock-up, everything will be rebuilt, painted, slashed, hacked etc, etc......... The build itself is not going to be a full blog as such, i`ll just post as and when there is enough too show...............the idea behind this is for a side project to hone my scratch/modifying skills There is loads i wanna do to this, the prep work itself is enough to keep me going for a wee while......all the modifications will need to be tidied up properly and further more..............no instructions but lots of imagination My main focus will be on my race car build and any other builds..................this is purely a silent partner just waiting for things to happen!! Right.............now i have a date with a certain 72 Monte Carlo engine Thanks fellas

Hey fellas.........thanks very much Sorry for the slight delay but this is gonna take longer than expected .................the roof chop is a pain due to already having been chopped once, i`m trying desperately to get the joins perfect but it is proving to be a right PITA!!!. Also the chassis drop has put all the normal locations completely out of sync............this means the differential has to be altered by lowering it and widening as well to compensate for where the wheels are gonna sit!!,the front radiator cowl has had to be chopped because it sat higher then the car..........which in turn means chopping the radiator and the front grill to suit..............on top of this there is major clean up of old paint and also old glue etc...............anyway here`s a couple of pics of where i want to be! The car won`t be sitting this low coz there is no axles.............there will be a clearance of about 2mm between the car sills and the ground itself (maybe 3mm depending on the final positioning of the re-modified diff and axles!!) It`s a bit of a mess at the mo but that is to be expected with all the mods and alterations............ The reason i`ve carried on with this at the mo is because i need some ISO and paint to be able to carry on with the 72 race car build, with this i can still do mod work and primering whilst i await my supplies for the Monte Carlo build............that will continue when i get some domestic bills outta the way Thanks fellas.............

Cheers Steve ..................i`ve just sorted the rear end now by lowering the diff, adding the extensions to bring the wheels out a tad more and also moved the diff back a tad more..........just in the process of building a 427 Ford engine with blower

Cheers Lui Jeff....thank you too... , i reckon i`ve done more head scratching than building tho , things just seem to escalate/change etc and then it`s back to more head scratching .........don`t ya just love imagination and artistic licence Gonna try and get a pic up of how the final rear stance looks........hopefully

Whooop..hey mucka, ya know this is all your fault don`t ya ...............thank ya kindly fella, appreciate the words........ Yeah gotchya PM matey and i`ve pinged one back.......... Right fellas..........a brief up date, The diff has been widened to bring the wheels clear of the bodywork now that the body has been lowered on the chassis rails, this prevents the wheels rubbing the rear body work.............the diff was also altered to allow the wheels to sit higher up and lower the body even further and finally the diff was moved backwards to allow for all the above adjustments This is roughly the final stance....................the 427 Ford engine has been started and fitted just to get the levels right, and the radiator shroud has been re-done coz it was a tad wonky IMHO............lots of ferkin` tidying up too do Thanks fellas......ACW etc...
