Hello again, A small milestone for me, 100th post so I will use it to introduce my next project. This started life as a full size figure by Maurice Corry which was to accompany his 200mm Coldstream Guardsmen. Not sure that he was happy with it so it was converted to a bust and has been released by Grenadier Miniatures. So here he is cleaned up and tacked together for a quick photo shoot. This is a really nice piece and the detail on the helmet has to be seen to be believed. Only consists of seven parts but they are very cleanly cast, requiring minimal clean up and the fit is good. Next up mount parts for painting, followed by a good wash and prime before I break out the brushes. Tim

Good evening, Apologies for the delay, normal service has now resumed Fist up base coat on the face, add in the detail, Not sure about this so base in the hair and a little colour below the face for a contrast. As I said, not sure which way this was headed so I painted in the collar and had a first serious bash at NMM Gold lace - Thanks Paul Feeling braver, moved on to the helmet. Again, NMM and a lot of trepidation, Still much to learn, but have enjoyed and am pleased so far with the results. Over to you now, all help and guidance much appreciated. Tim

Tim looks excellent, try a bit of pure white on the very edges of the NMM, just gives it a bit of shine

Good evening, More work done on this one between other projects. Still working on the tunic in the main, so a few update pictures - Also been working on a new topic for me, a flat in miniscule scale, May need to start a new thread as this is one of 3 which the observant amongst you may have noticed in some other pictures around and about. More soon, Tim

Good evening, Last posting July! Where has the summer \ time gone? Not a vast amount to show but cross belt etc done and waist sash together with shoulder boards \ epp's. Some tidying up required according to the all seeing lens - Mark 1 eyeball never picks up that much tidying but hey ho Hope to wrap this soon and get on to some of the other items that populate the bench (including the iron clads.. ) So here he is as things stand - More as and when. Good morning, So after what seems an age I finally got this one across the finish line. Still to arrange a name plate and a few bits of tidying will no doubt be needed ( I always find something ) but the major brushwork is finished. Thanks for looking in and the comments, helps to move things on. Will be back soon with another figure or bust ( no decision as yet on which ) but making my way to the heavy metal department next for some more Churchill bashing. Tim
