Being fairly new on site and given the amount of incredible talent I'm seeing, I have been a bit leery of putting pics of some of my past builds on the site. Some date back before filters and modulations and streaking was even heard of. Anyway, I decided to throw them out here and welcome any suggestions, recommendations, and feedback for improvement so my future generations of builds can hopefully reap the benefit of new insights. Here goes . . . My Dragon 1/6 MG42 with aftermarket linked ammo Italeri's 1/35 RSO. I created the bed cover with facial tissue and diluted white glue Tamiya's really old 1/35 Sdkfz 7 halftrack with 20mm quad Tamiya's 1/35 37mm AA gun with trailer Tasca's 1/35 Panzer II Luchs. Academy's 1/72 Hawker Typhoon. My first wingy thing in over 35 years. Did it as a warm up before tackling the paint on the Mossie to see if I still remembered how to do RAF camo. Dragon's 1/6 "Ma Deuce". Planning to built a mount and add it to the 1/6 Jeep when I get around to starting it. Tamiya's 1/35 M20. I really like these things! Dragon's 1/35 halftrack Tamiya's 1/35 M8. Wish I had known how to do washes back then! Solution ... another one in the stash. And finally, AFV Club's Dodge WC57 truck There's still about 20 kits in various stages and more in the stash that my lifetime probably won't get to. Next up, working on Special Hobby's 1/72 Westland Whirlwind.

WOW! Loving them all! Please don't ask me which I like the best... all look great! Really like that M20 very much too... you did great job applying camo by the way.

Dang. There are some fine looking armor builds there! Re: the M8 - couldn't you just post-wash it? Re: your RSO - are those the kit tracks? Did you manage to glue them to the tops of the road wheels? Re: your pics - is that the grey background we were talking about? Enough questions for now. Heh.

The "really old" Tamiya Sd.Kfz.7 might be my favorite (awfully hard to pick, though). Love the mopped-on whitewash.

Thanks guys. Dupes, the RSO tracks are stiff plastic horrible kit tracks. Used fine silver sewing thread to tie them down. I need to replace them with fruil metal tracks. The M8 weathering is done with Tamiya weathering powders. Not sure what a post wash will do to it. I'd rather build another and try weathering with what I've learned since to see the difference. I did the kfz7 half track years ago when it was first released. The whitewash is tempera paint.

Yes Dupes the backdrop is gray poster board. Really helps prevent underexposing the model and doesn't cause a color reflection that some colored backgrounds can cause.

I may have to give that a shot...have my doubts that super glue will do anything to them at all!

Dupes, CA glue won't work on those old tracks. Tie 'em down behind the road wheel and slap some dirt on it. You'll never see it.

Thanks Leon. Joe, the techniques I've seen here are far above those I've applied to any of these kits. Most don't even have washes and panel lines, just dust. There are some washes mainly on accessories. For me, I know more now of what I would do differently. These are just part of the evolution of various techniques over the past 10 years or so. I've seen your work too. It's great stuff. I see the builds here and see there are techniques that i want to figure out how to do on my future builds.
