Turned out wonderfully; enough dust and dirt to show it's been afield but not so much it covers everything up. Love the way the Panzer Grey turned out as well, as nice a job as I've seen you do in a long line of very nice jobs.
This makes me steam for the plumber to get finished so's I can rebuild my room and get back to work.
Regards, Mark

Thanks Rick! Glad you like how it turned out. Mark, hopefully you can get back to the bench soon, miss seeing you work on your projects! Thanks for the kind words indeed, I always try to make each build better than the last whenever possible. And as an added little treat for the two-tone faithful and skeptics alike...this is what happens to the two-tone in b/w when you have dust/dirt to contend with on the finish.

Again one of my favorites from your little fort! My fortune teller told me last night you will manage to finish 5 kits this year. Not too bad... only four more to go. Better get busy... LOL
Sorry if I am being too anxious but I have to ask what will be the next victim?

LOL Sorry if I am being too anxious but I have to ask what will be the next victim? Four more eh? You might want to get your money back from that fortune teller. There's 6 months of build time left so that may still be doable...but you never know, especially since I don't program out the projects in advance, I just gaze at the stash and whatever speaks the loudest at the time is the one that gets picked! Next victim is going to be Bronco's Marder II, it hasn't spent that much time in the stash but has been on my 'want to build' list for a loooong time.

Bronco Marder II? You definitely have my new attention... is that the recent release that Tony worked on an older kit not long time ago?

I can't recall if Uncle Tony worked his magic on the older Alan kit with goodies or if he had one of the Bronco kits right when it was released. It's kit #35097 on the Pz II-D chassis.

Uncle Tony reworked the Alan kit If I remember correctly. I think there's a build blog on SMA. Looking forward to the next one Bill!

Yes, Uncle Tony was part of Marder Madness GB at FSM if you can remember. I am sure he would be thrilled to see you tackling the newer kit.

Good deal Bill. I got that II D kit out of the stash and even looked through the Nuts&Bolts book for it but the urge to build the Nashorns was just to strong. You know i'll be watching and taking notes. Tony lee

Sure is some mighty fine work Bill! Really interesting how the two tone camo virtually disappears in the b&w photo.

Martyn, that's not too far off...these multi-turret designs have often been called 'land ships' for good reason! Thanks for the comments. OJ thanks as well my friend! I always like taking at least one b/w shot when I do a two-tone just to see what happens after the weathering is complete. Small wonder that this scheme is so undetectable in many period photos. If you don't know what you're looking for or if the lighting is off just a little bit in terms of shadow, contrast, exposure, etc. it's 'now you see it, now you don't' kind of effects!
