Nah, I think AG won't be traumatized... remember European ladies don't shave their legs and armpits if I am correct. that only happens in France Thank God!!!! (and I'm not even religious ) Great work Guy, though it's a bit confusing to me...first you show photos of what seems a painted jukebox...suddenly we see a painted and heavily weathered gorilla hand holding a tiny unpainted jukebox too much for my small brain Cheers

Or my back? Hair taking over as I get older... STUNNING! I am loving it every update... There's a cream for that Andy, no need to traumatize AG! Nice 'scale effect' pose there Guy, I imagine we have to add 'gorilla-tamer' to your long list of titles now. Yeh, but it tastes really bad Bill!

Thanks guys !
I'll have to reduce details here and there, this is the hard part of the job !
I keep you guys posted.
Best regards ! AG.

This is what I meant by reducing details here and there : the original lower ornaments of a Wurlitzer have five layers : My jukebox has three : More layers would make the ornament too heavy I think. Now I'll take a break, the Optivisor's made me dizzy... Best regards ! AG.

I agree with you Guy, more layers would be too much. What a result.

We modelers always have to make some compromies somehow, I guess - like real life And thats a good one imho. Didnt even know about the ornament number before you told it A very convincing juke box in the end!

Definitely striking the right balance of scale-effect vs. realism Guy, the end result once painted will still convey the same sense of ornamentation and no one would be able to tell the difference in the end I think.

Its base is finished now, tank wheel parts did the job. Still a bit of decoration to go and then cleaning and final inspection...painting (finally...the real fun part !)

I consider it built my friends, I still have to make the curly decoration of the body but that's for later, it's a separate part so it can be left off if it's a restoration project going on in the barn. I gave it a good cleaning and four layers of high gloss white to make it stronger and harder. Now I can start painting it, REAL fun starts here ! Next to build : cardboard boxes filled with LP's and singles. Best regards ! AG.

Thanks brothas ! My back is killing me at this moment, however the hour of bench time this afternoon was worth the effort, basic paint colors were applied onto the model. The chrome parts were painted white as a base color... The brown is high gloss and also quite basic. Best regards !
