Thanks for the interest guys. Tiking, I used an etched kit for some of the parts but the boiler covering is the kit part thinned with a sanding drum. Once the kit plastic is thinned it can be carefully bent and buckled by hand. It behaves differently to plastic card which is too soft. the boiler itself is a cardboard core from a paper hand towel Bill A sanding drum? What is it? Sorry for my lack of knowledge. |

thanks guys
tiking, a sanding drum is an attachment that fits on a motor tool and is a tube of sand paper which i use to thin down plastic. they are available in different diameters and roughness to suit the intended job
