My first 1/32 build shall soon begin.....

Howdy lads,

Got sumpin' I've been wanting to share, only just got around to it now!

A couple of weeks back, this exciting parcel arrived on my doorstep....



Whatever could it be?.....



Huzzah! Big box o' sticky-togethery plastic! Wot fun!!



She's a big girl! That's my 1\48 Tammy Me-262 sitting on top of the fuselage section...



Man, she's huge! I'm gonna need a bigger desk! Yoink!



This will be the awesome decal sheet I will be using for her, courtesy of TwoBobs. Fights On!!!

I am planning on starting this in the next month or so, we are kicking off with a 1/32 Group Build at our club fairly soon. I will start posting in the Wingy section as soon as we kick off!!

Got some Academy Hornets myself...hear the intake section can be a bear to fit right. Other than that, have heard nothing but good things. Can't wait!

T - Thanks mate, good to have you on board for the "pre-start"!

Dicky - I may be odd, but not that odd!! Truth be told, I had it open within about 8 seconds of sighting it on the kitchen table!! Just lazy in the posting department. So there!

Andy - Tell me about it, I think I will need a bigger house, let alone desk!!

Bob - Hopefully you can learn from my mistakes!!

Dupes - Yeah, I have heard a few issues with the intakes. Having said that, the detail is both accurate and exceptional! Things like a full set of positionable control surfaces (including flaps that can be set at four positions, with the hinges to match. No mods required!!), separate glass and decals for the MFD's in the cockpit, and a choice of four different heads for the pilot are just a few examples! I will give more detailed info when I start the build for real....

Will probably be kicking off our build in a couple of weeks, so I will do the same here. Keep an eye on the wingy section coming soon!!

Well, after discussions with the guys at the club, we have decided that we will wait until the Tamiya Group Build is finished before we kick off with our 32nd scale Group Build. That means no F/A-18 kickoff until mid July!

Not to worry, I still need to get the 262 finished before then anyway, and it's not like I have a shortage of other stuff to finish!!

Stay tuned, I will start posting as soon as our build kicks off. Mid July will be here before you know it!!!

Andy - Yeah, I better start knocking out the wall to the modelling room and then begin the extension! Maybe build in a couple of hangar doors!!

I've got this big boy, too. Planning it as an Op Mobile CF-188..,waiting on Wolfpack's cockpit set though. Will be watching with interest.
